New satellite launch center of India ?

Kulasekharapattinam location 

        थूथुकुडी ,   भारत का नया उपग्रह प्रक्षेपण केंद्र 

 इसरो प्रमुख के. सिवन द्वारा छोटे उपग्रहों के प्रक्षेपण  हेतु नए लांच पोर्ट की स्थापना की घोषणा की गयी | यह प्रक्षेपण केंद्र तमिलनाडु के तूतीकोरिन (थूथुकुडी) के कस्बे  कुलशेखरपत्तिनम में स्थापित किया जायेगा  यह प्रक्षेपण केंद्र 2300 एकड़ की भूमि पर होगा |

स्थापित करने का उद्देश्य - सतीश धवन प्रक्षेपण केंद्र , के  प्रक्षेपण भार  को कम करना  इसका प्राथमिक उद्देश्य है

नए प्रक्षेपण केंद्र की आवश्यकता क्यों -

अभी तक श्रीहरिकोटा के सतीश धवन प्रक्षेपण केंद्र से उपग्रह को लांच किया जाता है |इस प्रक्षेपण केंद्र से उपग्रह लांच करते समय श्रीलंका में होने वाली संभावित दुर्घटना से बचाव के लिए उपग्रह को पहले पूर्व दिशा में लांच किया जाता है  फिर उसे दक्षिणी ध्रुव की दिशा में प्रत्यावर्तित किया जाता  है  इस पुरे प्रक्रिया में ईंधन की खपत ज्यादा होती है  जिससे मिशन की लागत बढ़ जाती है


नए प्रक्षेपण केंद्र की स्थापना से लाभ -

  इस  केंद्र से मुख्यतः small satellite launch vehicle (SSLV) का प्रक्षेपण किया जाएगा जिससे  श्री हरिकोटा से प्रक्षेपण का भार काम हो जायेगा

इस प्रक्षेपण केंद्र के स्थापित हो जाने से सीधे दक्षिण ध्रुव की दिशा में उपग्रह प्रक्षेपण ईंधन की खपत कम  करेगा जिससे मिशन की लागत में कमी तो आएगी ही साथ ही पहले की अपेक्षा समय भी कम लगेगा


सतीश धवन प्रक्षेपण केंद्र, श्रीहरिकोटा- इसकी स्थापना 1971 में की गयी थी यह वर्तमान में भारत का एकमात्र प्रक्षेपण केंद्र है  अभी तक यही से PSLV(polar satellite launch vehicle) और GSLV(geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle)का प्रक्षेपण  किया जाता है

  Thoothukudi, India's new satellite launch center

  Establishment of new launch port for launch of small satellites was announced by ISRO Chief K.Sivan. This launch center will be set up in Kulasekharapattinam town of Tuticorin (Thoothukudi), Tamil Nadu. This launch center will be on 2300 acres of land.



Objective to be established - Its primary objective is to reduce the launch load of the Satish Dhawan Launch Center.

Why need a new launch center
So far the satellite is launched from the Satish Dhawan Launch Center in Sriharikota. While launching the satellite from this launch center, the satellite is first launched in the east direction to prevent from a possible accident in Sri Lanka and then in the direction of the South Pole. In this whole process, fuel consumption is high, which increases the cost of the mission.

Benefits of setting up a new launch center -

  The launch of small satellite launch vehicle (SSLV) will be done mainly from this center which will make the launch load from Mr. Harikota.

With the launch of this launch center, satellite launch directly towards the South Pole will reduce fuel consumption, which will reduce the cost of the mission as well as take less time than before.

Satish Dhawan Launch Center, Sriharikota - It was established in 1971. It is currently the only launch center of India till date. It is here that PSLV (polar satellite launch vehicle) and GSLV (geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle) are launched.
